STEAM Activity: Cardboard Snowman

Updated: Feb 10, 2021

Hi STEM Sparker! To say life in the US feels a little chaotic right now feels like a understatement. I've been trying to work (at my day job, not my fun blog job) and helping Jack with online school, but it's hard not to get distracted and worried about what is happening in the US. I mean there was an insurrection on the Capitol!

I did manage to squeeze out some fun STEAM time with Jack, and he made a cardboard snowman (or snowperson), aka an Phoenician snowman (get it? since we don't hardly ever have snow?) I helped him tape white paper to cardboard boxes, and then he decorated his snowperson as he wanted. What I liked about this STEAM activity was that it took me all of 5 minutes to setup, and most of it is recyclable! Also fun to see the kid's creativity and art.

Usually I'd give a list of supplies and set of instructions, but I forgot to take all but one picture. I think this STEAM activity is pretty straight forward on what to do, but if you have any questions, concerns, or compliments about the activity, just leave a comment below or fill out the blog's contact form. Stay safe and healthy readers, and of course, happy STEM-ing!
